Restrictions of the use of certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

Scantech-ID has worked with industry suppliers to comply with the European Union Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC, which came in to effect on July 1st, 2006.
The RoHS directive prohibits sale of electrical and electronic equipment containing certain hazardous substances such as; lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), in the European Union.
Scantech-ID ensures that it's products satisfy the RoHS Directive. Scantech-ID fully complies with the RoHS Directive as from July 1st, 2006.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)

The European Union has Directive 2002/96/EC coming in to effect August 13, 2005 encourages the design and production of electronic and electrical equipment recycling and reuse, adopt measures to minimize the disposal of WEEE, ensure that systems are set up to provide treatment for WEEE and ensure that systems are set up for the recovery of WEEE. As of August 13th, 2005, Scantech-ID fully complies with the WEEE Directive.
