Scantech ID, a Champtek Incorporated company,  is one of the few world wide manufacturers specialising in optical solutions focused on single-line and omni-directional bar code scanning technology. We started our business in 1987 and have built up a substantial market share since then. The explanation for this is easy. The experience of users and system integrators with Scantech ID scanners has been positive and as a result they have confidence in our in-house expertise.

We are offering 2 brands to the market:

- SCANTECH ID, high end Omni-directional bar code scanners, premium hand held scanners, price verifiers and customer information terminals;

- , entry-level hand held scanners, slot card readers and Auto-ID OEM modules

The development of Scantech ID products, both hardware and software takes place entirely in-house. For this purpose we have a large Research & Development department consisting of excellent qualified and trained staff, covering every necessary discipline from mechanical engineering and analogue electronics to the design of application-specific IC's.

With a strong focus on the retail environment and with every technology at hand, we are able to meet today and tomorrow's requirements. From standard laser based bar code scanning, to CMOS-camera based scanning to price verifiers and customer information terminals for a direct interaction with the customer.
